➢ REGISTRATION

Friday 17, from 2:00 pm, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 from 8:00 am, we will be happy to welcome you in the lobby of the Ergife Palace Hotel to greet you and deliver your badge and shopper. Starting from Saturday morning, in Sala Gerasa – floor – 2, you can pick up headphones for simultaneous translation if you wish.

If you need to collect a certificate of participation, the staff of our Secretary awaits you in the Sala Gerasa at the following times:

· Friday from 14:00 to 15:00;

· Saturday from 14:30 to 15:30;

· Sunday from 12:45 to 13:30.

➢ CHILDREN and TEENAGERS

We want children and teenagers to have a space of their own to get to know each other, socialize and have fun over the course of the three days. For this reason, a group of animators will await them with lots of games and recreational activities: the little ones will gather in the Tarragona Room, floor – 1 while the older ones in the Cesarea Room, floor – 1. Both on Saturdays and Sundays, children and teenagers will all have lunch together. The animation service will be available at these times:

· Friday from 15:00 to 19:00;

· Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00;

· Sunday from 08:00 to 14:00.

We also remind you that, for those who have registered, special workshops will be held on Saturday and Sunday in the ORANGE 1 room, floor – 1. We remind you that they are aimed only at registered children and teens and that they must be accompanied to the room by their parents.

➢ FRIDAY 17

Friday afternoon at 15:00 in the ORANGE 1 room, floor – 1, there will be a space dedicated to new families from Italy, to those we have only met online in recent years and those who have come into contact with Parent Project a few months ago. It will be a special occasion to allow new families to get to know and understand the many opportunities that membership in our community offers. From 17:00 to 18:30, in the rooms located on floor – 1, the parallel sessions will be held. This is a very important space for training and discussion, dedicated to families, which will allow you to explore numerous topics – you will find the details in the programme.

At 20:30 we await you in the restaurant located on the ground floor (the same floor as the hall) to enjoy a delicious buffet together.

➢ SATURDAY 18

At 8:45 on Saturday, everyone will be ready in the Sala Leptis Magna on floor – 2 for the work of the 20th International Conference to begin. We have thought of a “special welcome” and it is absolutely essential that we all are present in the room at 8.45. The whole day will be dedicated to interventions by experts on the current state of scientific research and round tables, through which various aspects of daily life will be addressed. This year we have also decided to include Parallel Sessions which will take place in the Pergamo room located on the ground floor (hall) at 11:30 and 14:00, simultaneously with the plenary sessions (find all the information on the programme).

From 10:00 to 13:00 in the Office Magna room, floor – 2, our staff will welcome families to fill in the Emergency Cards and update the DMD/BMD Patient Register.

➢ POSTER SESSION

On Saturday, in the Exhibition Gallery located on floor – 1, you will find the Poster Session starting at 13:00. It is an exhibition space dedicated to young researchers, clinicians and pharmaceutical companies in which they are offered the opportunity to show their research, in the form of a poster. During the lunch break, from 13:00 to 14:00, the authors will be present next to their poster to illustrate the work  and to answer any questions. At 19:30 in the Leptis Magna room, floor – 2, there will be the awarding of the best dissemination work of the Poster Session.

➢ WHATSAPP NUMBERS FOR QUESTIONS

At the end of each scientific session and round table held in the plenary session, questions can be asked to the speakers. There will be microphones in the room and it will also be possible (especially for those who follow the live coverage from home) to write questions via WhatsApp. on 342 3289199 (for scientific sessions) and on 3455597204 (for round tables).

➢ SESSION DEDICATED TO BECKER’S MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

The parallel session dedicated to Becker muscular dystrophy will take place on Saturday 18 February at 2.00 pm in the Pergamo room (floor – 1), in which the Emergency Card for BMD will also be presented.

➢ SESSION RESERVED FOR KIDS AGED 16 AND UP

On Saturday at 18:00, in the Sala Pergamo on the ground floor (hall) there will be a meeting reserved for children only with PAT MOESCHEN, BMD patient, Director of the PPMD Advisory Committee dedicated to teenagers and young adults living with dystrophy of Duchenne and Becker. The meeting is reserved exclusively for teens and young adults with BMD and DMD. Parents are not allowed. At the end of the meeting, the boys, together with PAT, will share a tasty aperitif, reserved for them.

➢ SOCIAL DINNER AND MASKED PARTY ON SATURDAY

For those who have indicated their participation in the dinner in the online registration form, we await you at 20.30 in the restaurant, ground floor (hall). It’s the Parent Project social dinner: a special and informal moment to be together, strengthen the sense of belonging to the community and have fun! We have thought of a Carnival party, so if you like, bring your own masks and/or accessories.

➢ SUNDAY 19

On Sunday 19, starting at 8:45, the work of the conference will resume until 2:00 pm, when the Leptis Magna room, floor – 2 will close. The same telephone numbers above will be active for plenary sessions indicated to ask your questions via WhatsApp. Parallel sessions are also scheduled on Sundays in the Sala Pergamo, ground floor (hall). Find all the details on the program.

From 9:00 to 10:30 in the Office Magna room, floor – 2, our staff will welcome families to fill in the Emergency Cards and update the DMD/BMD Patient Registry.

➢ STREAMING AND SOCIAL MEDIA

The International Conference will be broadcast live on Facebook (in Italian) and YouTube (in English) and will also be animated on social networks. Write, share and publish your photos with us using the hashtags: #Confpp23 #Duchenne #Becker
